Good article mtp. I've been making a color copy or our passports for years and saddle stapling them together in book form. Since reading the article I'm going to laminate them now too, so I can use the copy instead of the real thing for identification purposes, only, of course, if people will accept the copy. I'm more than a little dubious of that claim of the artitcle.
