What forum software are you changing to?
I thought phpbb allows unlimited forums and posts and the ability to move individual posts to specific posts.
I kinda like it the way it is, as it is very fast to load and I can view the public and TA forums on the same page w/o having to open another one.
Introducing advertisements will only slow it down on the user end waiting for adverstisment logos/pictures and affiliate links to load no matter what forum software is used (plus I hate ads).
What was the forum bandwidth prior to TAs joining and what is current bandwidth usage? Do you incur any additional expense because of increased bandwidth?
For $16 a year my host provides 10,000 MB bandwidth transfer per month, 600MB disk space, unlimited SQL's, etc.
I used to use phpbb, but they now recommend http://www.simplemachines.org as forum software, which is nearly identical, has forum transfer utilities and does not have the security issues of phpbb.
