I assume their going to start doing this to their older ships like they did with Enchantment of the Seas.

It's interesting what they decided to include in their “extreme makeover” press release. Among other things it seems they're working to make the ship more family friendly and want people to know that. They announced they're adding a Johnny Rockets and Sorrento’s pizzeria to the ship, clearly aimed at kids and teens.

It sounds like they are going to do the same thing that they did to Sovereign of the Seas, sans adding balconies since Majesty already has though. TLC did a special on the renovation of Sovereign called Drydock: Cruiseship Reborn. It was pretty amazing all that they did.

Jason - you got it:
Majesty of the Seas in line for 'extreme makeover' (05/19/2006)
Royal Caribbean International’s Majesty of the Seas will get what cruise line president Adam Goldstein called an “extreme makeover” in January 2007.
Upgrades will extend from changing the carpeting, window coverings and decor in the Schooner Bar to relocating a larger, “more contemporary” ShipShape Fitness Center to Deck 9, the line said. A Johnny Rockets and Sorrento’s pizzeria also will be added to the Majesty. Cabins, meanwhile, will get new beds.
The Majesty will be out of service between Jan. 12 and Feb. 9.
Royal Caribbean also revealed a new itinerary for the Legend of the Seas. Beginning on May 6, 2007, the ship will alternate a 12-day cruise to Italy and Croatia, with new calls in Portofino, Italy, and Split, Croatia, with a 12-day eastern Mediterranean cruise, which will add calls in Limassol, Cyprus, and Alexandria, Egypt.
