Hi Mary,

That is some B-I-G ship!

I'm quite leery of ships that large so I'm really looking forward to your report about your cruise.

"I find it amusing that one of our competitors is having an arms race with itself."

- Carnival President Bob Dickinson at Seatrade (taking a jab at Royal Caribbean's big, bigger, biggest ship building)

Hey Anita, you know anything about the new Princess ship?

Ned - don't you know I'll be posting everything on Freedom when I get back. BUT, I still have 10 months, 2 weeks and 5 days til we leave. waaaaa!

The new princess ship? Do you mean the Crown Princess debuting on June 14, 2006? She looks like a beauty!

Of course I know. I also know I can trust your comments to be accurate. I can wait for your reporting since my next cruise will probably be an expedition type on a boat of not more than 100 or so passengers, either to the Galapagos or Antarctica. No big ship luxury cruise for the next one.

I watched the Freedom leave Hamburg this morning via webcams. It was an awesome site. She sure is beautiful.

Ned - I would love a cruise to the Galapogos though - in fact one cruise that's a must on my list is the Windjammer Barefoot Cruise. As much as I love dressing up and the glitz & glamour of a large ship, I love the idea of hanging out in small coves and wearing a tank top and cut offs! You are going to have a great time - and I expect a full report from YOUR trip! :)

WRP- I will have to go search that so I can check it out. If you have the site handy will you post it?

Have a great day everyone!!

Mary

(currently singing and tapping my heart out - our Rivertown Follies is next week and we have 5x a week rehearsals. whew! Fun and exhausting at the same time!)

Yes, I believe that's the one. A client of mine has a grandson working for Princess and has just been moved from working AK this summer to this ship. He's apparently not thrilled with the thought of "working the kinks out of a new ship." He's trying to get moved back to the AK runs!
