Hope they have seat belts for the cocktail in the sky. Be careful too if anyone over indulges.

No freaking way. What if I choke on a chicken bone and need the Heimlich maneuver? Or have to pee between courses?

I have been to Amiens, the food was fine on the ground. Dinner in the air? If it was reasonable I would do it, why not?! I would be looking out and across, not directly down all of the time.
And if you're doing a dinner party, it's also lighting extra at $1,280.
Don't forget about getting a permit for the crane and dinner, plus rental for the use of the location.
So let's see what it would really cost:
Basic Dinner.............................$11,900
Transport for equipment...................$1,100
Location Package which does
include rental of location................$1,700
Power/Lighting............................$1,280
Catering for 22 has to cost
at least $300 per person
including setups..........................$6,600
Decoration................................$1,000
Liability Insurance for dropping
anything, etc.
(typical single event fee)................$1,500
You've got to have photos...................$950
SUB TOTAL................................$26,030
Weather risk insurance....................$2,993
VAT (21%).................................$6,095
TOTAL....................................$35,118
By the way, I don't know if anyone will get motion sickness from being up there, but you could get it from some of their videos. Of course, you might get sick when you pay for that bill of $1,600 per person. Do you think they take credit cards?

OK Jim, is $1,600 per person reasonable for your dinner and 21 of your closest buds?

You have a bunch of friends/couples that are committed to the idea and you will know that you will have a good time with them and only a few people can say they have done it and it is clearly once in a lifetime opportunity. I know I have spent $1,600 in worse places (maybe not all at once, but add up a few items....) YES I would do it!
More power to you Jim. Personally I'll use the money for a 5 day cruise to Bermuda in a suite on RCCL, this summer.
