Hi Stephen. As it's already been leaked to the press, in January Microsoft shipped version 6.1.6519.1 to key partners (the biggest Windows developers) for an early look and software conceptualizing, as well as their alpha group. The OS is far superior to Vista at this point in their comparative development, which is a very big relief thus far.

I wouldn't be surprised that Windows XP is collaterally sold with Vista until Windows 7 is on the market and working well, as Vista is such a dog. A recent operating system usage survey by W3 Counter, the #1 web statistics software company reveals what computer professionals already know, Vista has not been accepted by the business community, and most everyone. While not every computer is on the Internet, the vast majority are, therefore I think this survey very accurately reflects the computing reality in the world. I will add that the below stats reflect what all the sites I work with show too.

Windows XP 79.70%
Windows Vista 5.95%
Mac OS X 4.82%
Windows 2000 3.40%
Linux 1.84%
Windows 98 1.09%
Windows 2003 0.74%
Windows ME 0.40%
Windows NT 0.06%
WAP 0.03%What a stunning rebuke of Vista. I think there would be a revolution if Microsoft would move to cut off XP sales at this point.
