A couple of days ago, I got one of those periodic email offers from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Except, it was in Spanish. No big deal. I had fun trying to translate it, and, besides, there was an "English" link to click on.
Today, I received the following:
On Tuesday, we sent you an email in Spanish by mistake. To apologize, please accept 15% off (http://specials.enterprise.com/WBRH016FAE006C79CEE1737860E990) your next rental at any neighborhood location or get a free upgrade (http://specials.enterprise.com/WBRH016FAE501C79CEE1737860E990) at any airport location. We look forward to seeing you soon.
That was something to apologize for? I wonder if it was done on purpose so I'd think they were really offering me a bargain now. Has anyone else received these emails?

I imagine it is legitimate. They probably have the Spanish version for people in PR or in Spanish speaking countries and someone pushed the button for US--which I am assuming should have gone out in English....so the message did not get out and they are sorry.
Makes sense to me!

I got one too, actually, but it'll be a long time before I use Enterprise again--- Last time I did, they put a $500 hold on my credit card for a 3 day rental that was under $200. Since I don't keep high limits on my cards, it really caused problems. I've rented from multiple agencies, and only Enterprise has done this. I was not amused....
I didn't get one, but even though I've got an account at Enterprise, I'm not surprised. I had so much trouble with them (on several occasions they tried to charge me for phantom damage) that I stopped using them about 5 years ago. I just don't trust that company, plus, you've got to return the vehicle back to original rental place. You can't rent from a location in one state and return it in another state, so that makes them less useful to me.

I still use them, but only because I have found over time that one of the locations near me is atypical in terms of service and professionalism (i.e. they are actually good.) Unless absolutely necessary, I would not use them anywhere else.

I received the Spanish version, followed by an English version of the same email. Then a couple days later I received the apology. I really didn't think it was much to be sorry about, not like its that big of a deal to delete and email.
I will use the free upgrade though, I use Enterprise all the time and have never had any problems. My car rental enemy is Thrifty, for some reason they think a bald tire going flat was my fault, and tried to charge me $300 to repair it. This is all after I waited 5 HOURS for a tow truck with a replacement to show up.
