James gave me an excellent tip:
I cue my Christmas playlist of favorite holiday songs, then sit back and watch all the holiday travelers.
I have an iPod Nano so I'll be emptying that and putting in my Manheim Steamroller Christmas songs and bringing that.

Wonderful article, James! Very cheerful and your advice is simple. If everyone would be positive, bring their "good" attitudes and respect, holiday traveling would be ho, ho, happy!

I agree, Stephen - there are few situations this time of the year that wouldn't be improved by the addition of Mannheim Steamroller:)
One tip that I would add to the list is to ship your packages ahead of time by UPS, etc. That way you can not only wrap them up nicely but also avoid any security or theft issues associated with lugging them along with you in the crowded skies.
The exception would be any very valuable items, such as jewelry - and even then I'd consider shipping it insured and tracked. Whatever you do, don't pack valuables in your luggage!! (This shouldn't need spelling out but people space out on it occasionally at this time of the year - I've seen it all too often.)
