I got 10 out of 10. I have a love of desserts (and it shows), but I'm also a really good guesser.

4/10. No lie. I suck at desserts. Usually don't eat 'em and rarely make them. I'm dessert impaired having only two recipes I can make in my arsenal when I'm in a pinch.

I got 8/10 right. I really don't eat many sweets or desserts and haven't done so in years! My downfall is cheese.

My downfall is cheese.
NOW you're talking! I'll take cheese over pie any day.

I have a terrible sweet tooth, but 3/10 for me. I think I stick to the basics: chocolate-chip cookies and chocolate cake. I discovered I did retain something from Spanish class besides dondé está el baño? And that question didn't even help me in Mexico because I wasn't prepared to understand the answer! (show off...)

7/10. Oh well. Having lasagna for dinner, hmm, tiramisu for dessert...nope, do not have the ingredients.

If you have a sweet tooth, try the Turtle Pie the ex made at my house while visiting last week. It was so rich and sweet it made my cheeks hurt and I almost went into shock after eating a small slice.
1 package of oatmeal cookie mix prepared as directed on package
(sorry, not sure what they need - look on the package when you buy it ;-)
1 bag of chocolate chips (I like the semi-sweet best)
1 bag of Kraft caramels (you need 40, there were 45 in the bag)
1 cup of chopped pecans
2/3 cup whipping cream
Once prepared you press the oatmeal cookie dough into a greased pie plate - we used a 12" glass quiche baking dish. Big spring form cake dish would work best I guess for serving. Press 3/4 cup of the nuts evenly into the dough and bake as directed until cookie dough is done.
Remove from the oven and press (flatten) the dough down except for the edges, then let cool.
Melt the 40 (unwrapped, preferably) caramels with 1/3 cup of the whipping cream in the microwave, stir, then spread evenly over the cookie dough crust. Let cool again.
Melt the chocolate chips with the other 1/3 cup of whipping cream in microwave, stir then pour over the caramel layer.
Press the remaining 1/4 cup of pecans (or how many you like) lightly into the melted chocolate, cover and refrigerate until serving.
I think chopped pecans work best on the bottom layer, halves for the top for a nice presentation.
It looks boffo and tastes just like a Turtle chocolate candy. I pronounced it an evil concoction.
So I guess I actually know how to make three different desserts.
8 of 10 for me. I didn't know the number of pastry chefs - or an Italian translation.

6/10 - that is REALLY good for me. I'm not much of a cook.

10/10 for me. I'd rather bake than cook and I love read cookbooks recreationally.
Fortunately, I only bake for special occasions/holidays, otherwise I'd be huge!
That was a fun little quiz - thanks for posting it.

8/10 for me, but I respectfully disagree with one of the answers: What makes an authenthic Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte (Black Forest cherry cake) is tart-sweet cherries marinated overnight in Kirschwasser (cherry brandy) and real heavy whipping cream for the icing..... I have got to hunt down my mom's recepie for it-- it's the real deal from the real place, and includes a thick layer of chocolate buttercream..... yummmmmm^_^

10/10 for me, which was a surprise, as dessert is usually the missing course from my meals.
Please post that recipe for Black Forest cake if you find it!

9/10 for me. Didn't know # of pastry chefs. I'm not a dessert person, seldom eat it and even more seldom make it.......I'm with Dean, give me cheese, hunk of good bread (and possibly throw in some jalapeno peppers or fruit), glass of nice wine and I'm set!!

I guess being a travel agent that travels does have some perks, as I have sampled most all of what they asked about on business/leisure trips.
9/10 for me. I missed the number of pastry chefs in the US. Go figure. No wonder we struggle with our waist lines.
